Remove all existing horizontal flooring
Screw the SilcaGrates to existing joists and trim excess material
Add a Geotextile or landscape blanket if you plan to use Polymeric sand between the joints of your stones or pavers
Cover with your preferred surface material and finish

This heavy-duty all-weather sub-flooring system is exceptionally strong, durable and low maintenance. Comprised of a hexagonal underlayment that is made from thick engineered polymer, it provides support every two inches, easily supporting the heavy weight of stone or brick installed on top. Requiring less digging than the alternative, all concerns about heaving or settling are eliminated.
